ハッピーハロウィン！Or, in English, Happy Halloween! (Obviously Halloween is tomorrow, but this is my Halloween because Tuesday is an off day for posting.) Halloween is my favorite holiday, so I am super excited to show you guys my makeup look I created for my best friend’s party this weekend. Not only is it super easy to do, but I find it to be a loving nod to my Japanese heritage and its creepy urban legends.
Ohhhhh Cuphead. The talk of the gaming interwebz worldwide for good reason. Not only is the game itself a (mostly) fun experience, but “Cuphead” is one of those games where any gamer (or any person who glances at it, honestly) can easily see the love and care that went into creating it. Most game designers enjoy what they do regardless, but you have to 100% believe in a game to draw it frame-by-frame just like the cartoon movies of old (aka Walt Disney-style).
Today was my first makeup day in weeks! It was a simple day for work, so nothing real crazy like I usually enjoy. But hopefully you guys enjoy a really simple look while I come up with cooler stuff for you!

What’s up, everybody? And a happy Monday! (Well…as happy as a Monday can be, right?) I have not been able to fully wake myself up today, so I am running on autopilot until tomorrow. Since I lack anything drafted up, at the moment, I decided today would be good for an easy post to give you guys some recommendations of just a few creative beauty and fashion social media accounts to check out that I really love.
Up until recently, my faith in myself and my abilities was practically nonexistent. Writing is the only thing that I ever consistently believed I could do well. Even when I first entered the world of music journalism, I never ventured further than only writing articles or album reviews. My friend who owned my first online outlet always went out for show reviews and took care of the photography end. Needless to say, I never anticipated picking up a camera and scheduling press arrangements on my own in the future.
Have you ever started folding your clean laundry only to notice a t-shirt with holes near the bottom? Then one holey t-shirt turns into a few after the next load of wash. After that, you end up in my current situation; there are holes in about half of my band shirts and even in my work t-shirts I’ve only had for a month or two. (One of my Avenged Sevenfold shirts even managed to develop a hole in one of the armpit seams.)
Now, why does this happen? Sometimes it’s just the fact that shirts get old and they are giving the signal to toss them. (Which I don’t do, since I still have band shirts from middle school…don’t judge me.) But often, when the shirts are newer, it has a lot to do with the material as well as the shirt manufacturer being on the cheaper end mixed with abrasion against your pants and skirts.
Dealing with holey t-shirts during this move and facing the fact that they need to go after so many years, I discovered a few tips to try and salvage your tops for as long as possible:
You read that right, my beauty ghouls!
While I am not moving extremely far away from home, I (almost shockingly) decided to make a change and move in with my boyfriend and his family. Sure, I’m moving in with another set of parents, but this move holds a lot more promise for my future. (I don’t need any firm plans for my future, but at least now there are more opportunities.)
